The Chariton Valley Biomass Project was invited for the third consecutive year to exhibit project highlights in the Agricultural Building at the 2002 Iowa State Fair. Comparative carbon soil samples were available for fair visitors to see the relation of soil color to soil carbon. The booth focused on the environmental benefits associated with growing switchgrass for biomass.
